About Cuper Mining

The company was created in 2012 when the Jama Project was acquired in the prolific “Lithium Triangle” in a mining friendly province -Jujuy, Argentina- where 2 mining projects were already in operation. Jama attracted the attention of the company due to it significant characteristics. A 7,600ha project located in the heart of the Lithium Triangle, between Atacama, Hombre Muerto, Cauchari and Uyuni. Being a Tier One resource with significant upside. Its premier location, with proximity to existing infrastructure: (i) 2 gas pipelines, such as 20” Atacama Gas Pipeline with 1.97bcm/year capacity; (ii) adjacent to Route 52 paved highway connecting Chile and Argentina through Jama International Pass, (iii) connection to large ports in Chile and (iv) rail links to Antofagasta and Salta.

Cuper & Lithium S Corporation (LSC)

In 2016 Cuper signed an agreement with the Canadian Company LSC towards the development and exploration of the Jama Project. After that, LSC bought 6 more projects and emerged as the World largest landowner of Lithium with tenements that comprises +300,000ha. LSC was listed as a public company in the Toronto Stock Exchange. Cuper was stablished as the Argentine Local partner of the company. Cuper Director Mr. Fernando Eleit was appointed as the President of LSC Argentina.

Jama Development

In 2015, Cuper completed a program of shallow surface sampling. Results of the 2015 exploration indicate good lithium values and favourable Magnesium to Lithium ratios. In 2017, LSC completed a Vertical Electrical Sounding geophysical exploration program that show a deep conductive basin extending over a much greater area and to greater depths than originally expected. LSC developed a program of additional geophysical work (3D seismic and CS-AMT) and diamond drilling to better establish the potential of Salar de Jama. On March, 2018, LSC announced that the results from the high resolution seismic refraction tomography survey indicate that there could be significant depth to the brine bearing formations on the project. The survey was also intended to map stratigraphy indicated by previously acquired CS-AMT data to be brine hosting which could also contain lithium. In 2019, Pluspetrol, bought LSC assets and at the Jama Project partnered with Cuper as a minority stake shareholder.

Cuper & Lilac Solutions

After COVID-19 pandemic, Cuper launched an investor round in order to connect with a strategic partner to fast-track the project. From that process, Cuper signed an agreement with Lilac Solutions, a Top US company (backed by Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos) that developed a high-tech DLE (Direct Lithium Extraction) process to extract lithium from brines. This strategic partnership provides Cuper the key to fast-track and unlock Jama’s potential. With 4,000m of drilling and 1,100 of core results has led to know the distinguished factors of Jama. It is a World Class resource with high lithium grades, low impurities. Also access to ample fresh water, which only will be used in reduced percentages due to Lilac’s Technology that allows to 2-20 m3/tonne LCE freshwater consumption. While conventional absorbents will consume between 100-150 m3/tonne LCE. Jama is a World Class Project with a dominant position in the Premier lithium producing region with third-party verified resource with an upside potential. 25,000 tonnes per Anum estimated capacity for Phase 1 turns Jama a project of Global significance with a strong Government and Community support carried through extensive engagement with locals and share vision for development.

Consulting

Due to it several years of experience exploring and developing projects, long standing relationship with Top-Tier mining players across the globe and a unique understanding of the mining environment in Northwestern Argentina, Cuper started to advise companies interested to get into lithium projects in Argentina and counterparts seeking for investors with the capability of backing the exploration and development. Through the past years Cuper has been working with International and Argentine companies that successfully reach agreements to develop lithium projects. Mid 2023 we close an agreement with a Tier One Argentine Oil & Gas company that enter as a Lithium player acquiring +30,000 hectares in world class asset located in Jujuy, a project 100% structured under the Cuper management. Also, Cuper in 2022, has been involved in the foundation and set up of the company Li3 Lithium Corp. with operations in Zimbabwe and focus to become a major holder of hard rock spodumene lithium assets.
